General Questions

SignatureMills is a digital document signing platform that allows businesses and individuals to securely sign documents online. Our platform provides a legally binding, secure, and efficient way to sign contracts, agreements, and other documents without the need for printing, scanning, or physical meetings.

Digital document signing works by using electronic signatures to verify the identity of signers and their intent to sign a document. When you sign a document with SignatureMills, we create a unique digital fingerprint of the document and your signature, which is then encrypted and securely stored. This process creates a tamper-evident seal that can be used to verify the authenticity of the document and signatures.

Yes, electronic signatures created with SignatureMills are legally binding in most countries. Our platform complies with major e-signature laws including ESIGN and UETA in the United States, eIDAS in the European Union, and similar laws in many other countries. Each signed document includes a detailed audit trail that can be used to verify the authenticity of signatures in court if needed.

You can sign virtually any type of document with SignatureMills, including contracts, agreements, NDAs, offer letters, invoices, and more. Our platform supports PDF, Word (DOCX), Excel (XLSX), and image files (PNG, JPG). All non-PDF files are automatically converted to PDF for the signing process.

Security & Compliance

SignatureMills uses bank-level security to protect your documents and data. All data is encrypted both in transit (using TLS 1.2+) and at rest (using AES-256 encryption). We also implement multiple layers of security, including two-factor authentication, role-based access controls, and regular security audits to ensure your data remains secure.

Yes, SignatureMills is compliant with major e-signature regulations worldwide, including ESIGN and UETA in the United States, eIDAS in the European Union, and similar laws in many other countries. We also comply with data protection regulations such as GDPR and CCPA. For specific compliance requirements, please contact our sales team.

SignatureMills offers multiple methods for verifying signer identity, including email verification, SMS verification, and knowledge-based authentication (KBA). For higher security requirements, we also offer ID verification and digital certificates. You can choose the appropriate level of verification based on your specific needs and the sensitivity of your documents.

SignatureMills maintains a comprehensive audit trail for every document, which includes details about who signed the document, when they signed it, their IP address, and other relevant information. This audit trail is tamper-evident and can be used to verify the authenticity of signatures in case of a dispute. We can also provide expert testimony if needed for legal proceedings.
